The Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center was completed in 2001 and is owned and operated by husband and wife team Dave Farrar and Margie Rhodes. Dave and Margie began teaching scuba diving in the Triangle area in 1982 and opened their original dive shop in 1987. Since that time, Gypsy Divers has certified over 3,700 Triangle area residents in sport scuba diving. They always dreamed of creating a facility that offered the true benefits of a water-active life to everyone. And their dream came true: In 2001, Dave and Margie designed and built a full aquatic center complete with a wonderful, warm, clean, 25-yard pool. Now Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center offers a full menu of aquatic activities from infant swimming to senior water therapy and from birthday parties to lifeguard training and not to forget sport scuba training from beginner open water diver to instructor certification.
