Costs associated with becoming a competent diver

To us, the amazing adventures found in diving are priceless... We have a quarter century of evidence compiled to prove this rather bold statement.

We also have a rather bold program set up for folks who want absolutely the best deal available on becoming an active SCUBA diver. If you've got an irresistable urge to submerge, this program is for YOU.

The following information is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the costs involved in learning to become a safe and competent new SCUBA diver.

Equipment Costs:
Scuba is definitely an equipment-intensive sport: And good fitting equipment is essential to the learning process. Therefore, we do ask all of our students to provide their own personal snorkeling systems (mask, fins, snorkel, and boots.) We offer these systems at very special pricing to our students, with snorkeling systems starting around $200. There is no single snorkeling system that is perfect for everyone. Body sizes and shapes and personal preferences regarding comfort issues are important considerations in selecting your system components. We'll work with you before, during, and after your scuba training to make absolutely certain you end up with the snorkeling system that is optimal for you.

Once you've purchased your snorkeling system, you can complete your scuba training in three easy steps:

Step one is home study. We have an absolutely wonderful home study system that allows you to learn the important academic aspects of safe scuba in the comfort of your own home.
-A complete home study system costs $59.95. Companion kits (study guide and individual materials only - for families who can share the text and DVD) are $14.95. A final essential part of this system is your diving logbook, of which we stock several types, starting at $12.95.

Step two is the pool training, wherein you gain comfort and competence with the scuba equipment and basic scuba skills. These six sessions are completed under the watchful direction of members of our teaching team, in our own clean, clear 87-degree pool, using our top-quality scuba student equipment. The cost for pool training is $240.

Step three is the certification experience, a series of 5 dives completed over two consecutive days. We will provide the instruction team, all scuba equipment, and certification processing. The cost for the certification experience is $125.

So the total cost for learning to dive with us is $59.95 (home study kit)+ $12.95 (dive logbook) + $240 (pool training) + $125 (certification dives) = $437.90

We do have a program in which your SCUBA Pool and certification dive costs are free.
Here's the details.

Very Important note: "So what happens if I pay all this money and start this training and then decide I don't like it?", you wonder...
If, at any time, for any reason or no reason at all, you decide you do not wish to continue your scuba training with us, we will refund ALL of the monies you have spent with us. Further, when you choose to purchase your personal snorkeling system through us, you have the same protection. You may return this equipment for a full refund, or exchange it for equipment you later find to be better fitting, for up to 30 days AFTER the completion of your scuba course. We will work hard to earn your trust. We want you to be a customer for life.
